Bloomfield Area Private Schools Closed Again Wednesday

Sub-zero wind chill temperatures from the lingering "polar vortex" will keep area schools closed again Wednesday.

Private school students in and around the Birmingham area will again be at home Wednesday as frigid temperatures will keep buildings closed Wednesday.

It is the third consecutive snow day for students in all local private and public schools.

Officials with the Bloomfield Hills Schools cancelled classes late Tuesday night after it became clear that temperatures and road conditions were too poor to chance.

The following Bloomfield-area private schools will not be open Wednesday:

  • Academy of the Sacred Heart
  • Brother Rice High School
  • Cranbrook Schools
  • Detroit Country Day
  • Hillel Day School
  • Marian High School
  • Roeper Lower and Upper School
  • St. Hugo of the Hills School
