Bloomfield Hills Schools, Patch Launch Coffee Chat

Hear BHS Superintendent Rob Glass discuss his vision for what should be happening inside buildings throughout the district, and the challenges ahead for public education in general.

Bloomfield Hills Schools Superintendent Rob Glass on Monday sat down with Patch to discuss issues impacting the district and public education in general in the first of several planned "coffee chats."

From the main lobby of the Bloomfield Township Public Library, Glass answered questions about a variety of topics in a free-flowing, and unscripted conversation that was recorded by BHS-TV's Vickie Hurst. The entire video recording will soon be available on-demand on the district website, as well as portions here on Bloomfield-Bloomfield Hills Patch.

Topics discussed included the first few months of the school year and challenges ahead ranging from funding to curriculum. Glass also discussed his philosophy for providing more personalized educational experiences through innovation, and ongoing programs driven largely by teachers that he believes will help the district achieve its mission.
