February was a good month for the young chess players at the Roeper School.
On Feb. 2, the Roeper chess team won multiple awards at the Michigan Scholastic Team Championship, most notably the K-3 team, which took home first place and was named state champions. The Roeper chess team is made up of 26 players from the Roeper Lower School, located on Woodward Avenue in Bloomfield Hills, and is coached by Diallo Smith.
