Varsity Football

Lahser hosts Hazel Park on Thursday at 7 p.m. in an Oakland Activities Association Blue division game.

The Knights need to win two of their final three games to automatically qualify for the state playoffs. It has a really tough game on the road against Avondale next week and then Andover at home in the final game of the regular season.

A loss this week to the Vikings would put Lahser’s on the brink of elimination.

Andover is still searching for its first win of the season and could have its best chance this Thursday hosting Flint Northwestern at 7 p.m.The Barons beat the Wildcats last year 31-20 in their lone win of the season. Flint Northwestern isn’t much better this season with a 1-5 record.

Country Day will try to extend its winning streak to five games when visiting Linden at 7 p.m. on Thursday. Brother Rice has a key game against Catholic Central on the road Saturday at 7 p.m.
