#GivingTuesday

The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit has long celebrated the tradition of giving hope and is proud to be an official partner of #GivingTuesday this year. Giving Tuesday is a truly special day for giving back to the community and the perfect opportunity to help our neighbors in need.

Your support on Dec. 3 and throughout the season enables The Salvation Army to brighten the spirits of those individuals and families who are struggling in our area. Last year alone, The Salvation Army provided more than 3.3 million meals and 737,000 nights of shelter in metro Detroit. As assistance needs in our community continue to rise, The Salvation Army is Doing the Most Good with its resources to provide care beyond food and shelter assistance to include youth programming, disaster relief and much more!

No matter how you choose to support The Salvation Army – whether it’s by giving a gift at one of 470 kettle locations across southeast Michigan, hosting an online red kettle, serving as a volunteer bell ringer or sharing a message of hope via social media – it is through the generous donation of time and resources from people like you that we are able to provide the continuum of care that is essential to our neighbors in need year ‘round. Best of all, your donation to The Salvation Army and its annual Red Kettle Campaign remains in the community it is given.
