Tails on the Trails Dog Walk to Benefit Animal Rescue

Andover High School student Erin Weingarten uses her MYP project to help save local animals.

 

Looking for something to do this weekend? Exercise yourself and your pet while helping a worthy cause.

  • When: 10 a.m.-noon Sunday, June 3.
  • Where:
  • Cost: $10 minimum donation per human walker
  • Why Go: Weingarten, a sophomore, intends to be an veterinary surgeon and chose helping Almost Home Animal Rescue — a no-kill animal shelter in Southfield and West Bloomfield — as her MYP project. All proceeds from the event will help the organization. Refreshments, information booths from multiple sponsors, raffle prizes and an area dedicated for viewing animals available for adoption will be on site.

Can't make the event but still want to help? No problem, Weingarten established a Website that accepts donations anytime. All checks should be made payable to Andover High School and write Andover Helping Animals in the memo section. All contributions are tax deductible.
