Brother Rice Autumn Harvest, Inkstand Exhibition at Cranbrook This Week

Bloomfield Township

The Bloomfield Township Board of Trustees will meet twice Monday at Township Hall. The trustees will receive the township's annual fiduciary review and recommendations for pension bond proceeds at 8 a.m. The Board will reconvene at 7 p.m. for the regularly scheduled meeting, which will include a traffic control order and consideration of recommendations for pension bond sale proceeds.

Senior Ballroom Dance

Join the Bloomfield Township Senior Services Swing Band for an evening of swing dancing, waltzing and dance music from the 30's, 40's & 50's starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12. Coffee and dessert will be served. The event is free for township residents and $2 for non-residents. Pre-register online or call 248-723-3500 for more information.

Movers and Shakers

The Bloomfield Township Public Library welcomes toddlers and early preschoolers, ages 2-3 for interactive story time with special grown-up on Nov. 12 at 10 a.m.: Non-residents may register the week before the program by calling Youth Services.

Brother Rice Autumn Harvest

The Brother Rice High School mother's club hosts a benefit for the school's financial aid fund from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14 at the gym. Appetizers, desserts and beverages from more than 30 vendors will be available.

Drawing as Thinking at Cranbrook

Artist Tony Orrico will conduct a live drawing demonstration fromthree days Nov. 15-17 at Cranbrook as part of the new major exhibition, My Brain Is in My Inkstand: Drawing as Thinking and Process. Hiss finished work will become a permanent part of the exhibition.
