Bloomfield Hills High School Homecoming 2013

What you need to know about the first Black Hawks homecoming events this weekend.

The first homecoming weekend in the history of the new Bloomfield Hills High School is upon us. Here's what to look out for.

Pep Assembly

Students will gather today at about noon during school hours for a pep rally on the main campus football field. The event is the culmination of spirit week and will feature games where students can compete against one another by grade for bragging rights. The assembly also includes honor for all fall sports teams and the introduction of the homecoming court. Special appearances include the Jills, the BHHS band, cheer and poms teams and personalities from The BIFF.

For 9th Grade: Freshmen will be brought over to the main campus by school bus at 12:10 p.m. After the Black Hawk Games, students will board their normally scheduled buses for home. Students that are regularly picked up after school by a parent will ride bus 7 or 9 to the Main Campus for the Black Hawk Games and will return on those busses to the 9th Grade Campus for after school pick up at 2:30 pm.

The Game

The Black Hawks (0-4) will seek their first win of the season against Southfield Lathrup (1-3) before the homecoming crowd a 7 p.m. at Dauch Field. A special half time show will honor the 2013 Homecoming Court by crowning the 9th, 10th, and 11th grade Princess and the senior Queen. There will also be a special performance by the poms, cheer, and band.
