Music at Manresa, Janet Sung with the BBSO, and Obamacare Education in Bloomfield Hills

If you had your fill of travelling or visitors during Thanksgiving, then this is a weekend you'll want to be around town and enjoy what Bloomfield has to offer. Here's a few events to keep you occupied.

Birmingham-Bloomfield Symphony Orchestra

Music Director John Thomas Dodson will take the podium with featured guest artist Janet Sung in one of two performances with the BBSO at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6 at Christ Church Cranbrook470 Church Rd. in Bloomfield Hills.

Iron Chef Bloomfield III

Young chefs between the ages 8-13 can register for the 3rd annual Iron Chef Bloomfield competition at the Bloomfield Township Public Library from 1–2:30 p.m. Dec. 7. Using an undisclosed secret ingredient, contestants will compete to make the most delicious food possible for our judges. Registration is required by calling the Youth Services Department.

Manresa's Concert for the Season

Manresa Jesuit Retreat House in Bloomfield Hills will present the second performance of the 2013-14 concert series with the Cantate! vocal ensemble at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8.  Tickets are $25 and available by calling 248-644-4933 or visiting the Manresa website.
