Hundreds of runners braved chilly Saturday morning winds to honor slain child abuse victim Dominick Calhoun in a 5K race at Kensington Metropark in Milford. Four-year-old Dominick, of Argentine Township, was killed at the hands of his mother's ex-boyfriend. He was among more than 2,284 children in Genessee County who were abused and neglected in 2010. The run, organized by child abuse advocacy group ChildHelp, paid tribute to Dominick and other abuse victims while raising the profile of Dominick's Law, pending legislation that would enforce harsher penalties for those who abuse children.
