The mailing address may be "Hills" but the municipality that will collect taxes and provide services is The Charter Township of Bloomfield. Fifth Tavern Coming to Telegraph at Square Lake in Bloomfield Township

The Bloomfield Township Board of Trustees recently approved plans for the new restaurant and bar to take over the long-vacated Rio Bravo.

  Last spring, we highlighted the vacant restaurant site at 2262 S. Telegraph Rd. on Bloomfield Township's north side and asked readers what their vision was. This week, the reconstruction of the former Rio Bravo restaurant at southbound Telegraph Road near Square Lake Road, took off in earnest. And you might have noticed the landmark lighthouse on the structure was replaced with a blue tarp. Closed since 2003, the spot had long been a neighborhood destination, first as a Mountain Jack's before going 'Tex-Mex' menu.
