Police Arrest Shoplifters in Bloomfield Township

Two shoplifting suspects face retail fraud charges following arrests in separate incidents last week at Bloomfield Township stores, police said.  Aleksandr Bogdanov, 19, is charged with one count of retail fraud and another count of minor in possession of alcohol for an incident reported Nov. 19 at Target. Officers with the Bloomfield Township Police Department responded to the store after security guards witnessed Bogdanov place a bottle of vodka and a video game in his jacket, police reports said. When security confronted him, Bogdnaov allegedly dropped the alcohol and ran out of the store and into a vehicle waiting outside. Police Blotter: Frauds at Local Stores and Home Invasions

  Two men tried to steal a television from the Bloomfield Township Kmart on Monday, police reports said. Bloomfield Township police officers responded to the store at about 10:30 a.m. after store security reported a man tried to wheel a television in a shopping cart from the store to a waiting vehicle without paying. Reports said the two men entered the store together and security officers saw one of them remove the anti-theft device from a television and put it in the cart. The other man walked out of the store and pulled up to the front door in a dark colored Chevy Cavalier. The Bloomfield Township Police Department responded to several property crimes over the past week: Retail frauds Other crimes Anyone with information in any of these incidents is asked to call the investigations division at 248-433-7752. The Bloomfield Hills Department of Public Safety will seek multiple felony charges against two men caught in a mini-crime spree in the city and Birmingham earlier this month. Chief Richard Matott said investigators will seek charges for auto theft and receiving and concealing stolen property against the Detroit men who were arrested Dec. 14. A joint investigation between the two departments shows the men, ages 24 and 21, are believed to be involved in at least four auto thefts or larcenies in Bloomfield …

Police Blotter: Arrest Made in Retail Fraud, More Larcenies at L.A. Fitness

  Shoplifter arrested Bloomfield Township police officers arrested a woman that tried to steal roughly $150 worth of clothing from Kmart earlier this month, police reports stated. The officers responded to the story at about 4:45 p.m. on Dec. 8 and arrested the 19-year-old woman without incident. Officers also found marijuana in her possession, reports said. The woman was booked and released pending formal charges for retail fraud and marijuana possession. Larcenies Attempted Auto Theft  The owner of a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country in the 4100 block of Telegraph Road reported an attempted auto theft on Tuesday, reports said. Bloomfield Township Bike Thieves Arrested After Returning to Crime Scene for More

Oakland County prosecutors are pondering whether to charge two Pontiac men who stole bicycles on display outside the Bloomfield Township Kmart earlier this month, police said. Bloomfield Township police officers arrested the duo on the stolen bicycles in a neighborhood near the store off Telegraph Road shortly after noon on Aug. 13, according to reports. Lt. Phil Langmeyer said officers responded quickly to the scene after store employees reported a second bike theft by the same suspect about an hour apart. The first incident was reported at about 11:30 a.m. after a man pulled up to the front curb in a full-size van, sized up the bicycles on display and loaded one into the vehicle.
