Funeral Arrangements Finalized for Kenneth Jarrell

The Bloomfield Township man police believe shot and killed his ex-wife, Rochester teacher Susan Jarrell, will be laid to rest close to his family in Tennessee.

The man Bloomfield Township police say shot and killed his ex-wife before turning a rifle on himself outside his home Tuesday night will be buried Saturday in a family cemetery in Tennessee. Kenneth Jarrell, 46, will be remembered at a 1 p.m. funeral service Saturday in Chapel Hill, TN, according to a tribute posted on www.heartfeltconnections.net today. A private burial will follow at the Jarrell Family Cemetery. Visitation and services were scheduled for 4-8 p.m. today at the Lawrence Funeral Home.   Officers responding to reports of multiple shots fired found Jarrell's body outside his residence in the 2200 block of Bedford Road at about 8 p.m. Tuesday. UPDATE: Rochester Teacher Killed in Bloomfield Murder-Suicide

Recently divorced couple found shot to death in the driveway of the man's rented home in the township's first homicide in at least six years.

A French teacher for Rochester Community Schools was found dead Tuesday night in an apparent murder-suicide outside her ex-husband's Bloomfield Township home, Bloomfield Township Police say. Investigators confirmed Wednesday that Susan Pawlecki Jarrell of Rochester Hills, 45, and Kenneth Wayne Jarrell, 46, of Bloomfield Township, died Tuesday. They divorced last year.  Officers responded to the 2200 block of Bedford Road after 911 callers reported multiple shots fired in their neighborhood shortly after 8 p.m., a news release stated. Bloomfield Township Police Investigate Apparent Murder-Suicide

Officers respond to reports of shots fired on Bedford Road and find the bodies of a recently divorced couple.

Bloomfield Township Police are investigating what appears to be a murder-suicide involving a recently divorced couple that occurred shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday. Officers responded to the 2200 block of Bedford Road after 911 callers reported multiple shots fired in their neighborhood, a news release stated. On arrival, the officers found a man and woman dead in the driveway of a residence. Each was about 45 years old, the release stated. The names of the victims have not been released. The initial investigation shows that the man shot and killed the woman with a rifle while she was sitting in her vehicle parked outside his home. He then apparently turned the weapon on himself, according to Bloomfield Township Police Capt. Steve Cook. …
