DeLorean Club Benefits Bloomfield Charities

The DeLorean Motor City Club parked 15 of the classic 1980s rides at Mercedes-Benz of Bloomfield Hills.

The DeLorean Motor City Club is taking Woodward Dream Cruisers “back to the future.” Fifteen DeLorean owners, including four from the DeLorean Club of Ohio, parked near Mercedes-Benz of Bloomfield Hills Saturday to entice participants to park and benefit three charities. The Bloomfield Township Police Benevolent Fund, the Bloomfield Township Fire Department and the Bloomfield Hills Optimist Club all stand to benefit from the $5 parking fee assessed. BTFD Lt. Bill Fritz said the benefit goes beyond money. “We’re getting our name out there,” Fritz said. “We’ve been out here (at the Dream Cruise) in past years, and it seems like there’s always a lot of rain, but today there’s a lot of sun.
