Don't Miss These September Events at the Bloomfield Township Library

Check out these events at the Bloomfield Township Public Library this month.

We're well into September, but there are still plenty of events planned that you won't want to miss at the Bloomfield Township Public Library before fall really settles in. Here are some highlights:

Second Saturday Sale

Sept. 14, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Friends of the BTPL will host their monthly book sale in the library's lower level. The first hour is for Friends’ members only and there is no fee to attend.

Money Smart Teens with Rohan Sinha

Sept. 16, 7 p.m.: Bloomfield Hills High School senior Rohan Sinha is not your average student. The founder of MoneyOne, a financial literacy program for teens and young adults, will share his knowledge on budgeting.

Registration is required. Non-residents of Bloomfield Township may register this week, if room is available. Call 248-642-5800 ext. 171 for more information.

Garden Tour with Jim Slezinski

Sept. 18, 6 p.m.: Wear comfortable clothes and join Jim Slezinski, of Goldner Walsh, designer of the library's gardens, on a tour of the grounds at 6 p.m. Learn more about the featured trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals. Registration is required and open to township residents only until a week before the tour. The rain date is Sept. 19.

Diaper Drive

Sept. 27-28, 9:30 a.m.: The library staff will try and stuff the Story Room with a diaper drive on Friday, Sept. 27 and Saturday, Sept. 28 to benefit the The Detroit Area Diaper Bank. Diapers of all sizes and types are welcome, including open packs and adult diapers.
