Assault at Plum Market; Glasses Stolen From Birmingham Vision

The Bloomfield Township Police Department provided the following information. Arrests, where they are mentioned, do not indicate conviction.

Officers with the Bloomfield Township Police Department investigated an assault and battery complaint after two shoppers at Plum Market argued over a parking space, reports said.

Police responded to the grocery store on Oct. 14 for a report of two men yelling over parking. One man said he was parked curbside when the other man pulled his vehicle alongside and began complaining about the way he was parked. The man responded, and during the argument, one of them spat on the other's vehicle and drove off.

Officers took statements from both people and detectives are reviewing the case.
