Multiple Vehicle Break-ins at Fox Hills

Four different residents in the 400 Block of Fox Hills reported their vehicles were entered sometime between Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.

Detectives with the Bloomfield Township Police Department are investigating a rash of vehicle break-ins and larcenies in the Fox Hills condominiums early Thursday.

Four different residents in the 400 Block of Fox Hills reported their vehicles were entered overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning. Items taken included GPS systems, jewelry, iPods and golf clubs, police reports said. Detectives are working to identify the perpetrators, but no suspect descriptions were available Thursday.

Township resident Tony Trapp posted an alert about the thefts on the  department's Facebook page, which prompted authorities to issue the following reminder:

"Great reminder for everyone to keep their cars in a closed and locked garage whenever possible, especially overnight. Of course, remove ALL valuables from a car when parking it and leaving it unattended," Ofcr. Pete Matejcik wrote.
