Bloomfield Hills Schools Will Be Closed Tuesday

Students will get a second-consecutive snow day as Birmingham tries to dig out from Sunday's storm.

Officials with the Bloomfield Hills Schools announced that classes will be cancelled again Tuesday due to the hazardous wintry weather.

Temperatures hovered around 10 degrees Monday morning will continue to drop throughout the day. With wind chill factored in, temperatures are expected to dip to as low as 40 degrees below zero overnight Tuesday.

Students were scheduled to return from the winter holiday break Monday, but the district, as well as all area private schools, cancelled classes Sunday afternoon as roughly 12 inches of snow blanketed the area.

The district cancelled Monday's return to classes on Sunday afternoon as nearly a dozen inches of snow covered the area.
